  1. Hey guys I really enjoyed reading your lengthy and newsy well written blogs or essays.I even think Paul Thoroux would be jealous. Do you mind if i forward them to friends. Rachel if you wrote them I have never seen such interesting letters from you . Keep it up they are beautiful. HAd dinner last night with your mom and Jack. Even Jan was there with her boyfriend stories. all’s well in SD Love from Papa

  2. I Love Tusker Export. Have a great t-shirt from my time in Mombasa in 1998.

    • haven’t tried tusker export yet, will definitely try some this weekend! plane pictures + terrified rachel coming soon…

  3. I was a bit disappointed when there were no new photos but I thoroughly enjoyed your description of the trip to the Safari park. You are a great writer Rachel and i hope there will be more descriptions. Actually your stories and probably Ray’s pics could end up as a book. You both have to read Paul Thoreau and are travels from Cairo to Cape Town. The weeks are going by too fast. Tomorrow we are going to see Il TRovatore by Verdi. That’s the opera with the Anvil Chorus, very famous. Weather great and on Sunday ws are going to seed Gounod’s Foust. Papa
